Men

We have a very strong men’s section with many low handicap players. A full programme of medal and matchplay competitions run throughout the year. Whether weekend or midweek these are always well attended. For social golf, rollups are scheduled throughout the week; anyone can join in.

We also have 5 teams that play regularly against other clubs in the region:

The 1st Team plays in the Inter-Counties Scratch League, first division. Format: Singles

The 2nd Team plays local clubs on a friendly but very competitive basis. Most matches are held on Saturdays in Four-Ball format. The team is generally made up of single figure players.

The Foxes field players in the 9-19 handicap range.  Matches are played home and away in a competitive spirit on weekday afternoons with good fellowship enjoyed afterwards.

The Rabbits team is for players with handicaps of 19 and above playing home and away matches against 3 other clubs.

The Seniors team  Fields players aged 55 plus in Home and Away matches with 11 other clubs. Most matches start with Coffee at 8am and tee off at 8.30am, followed by a sociable lunch.

SENIORS

Gerrards Cross Golf Club has a very active Seniors community. The Seniors have an appointed Captain who organises both inter club and internal matches along with major summer and Christmas events.

In addition to our team matches Seniors’ activities through the year include:

Official 9 & 18 hole Seniors Stableford competitions,
Roll-ups early on Monday and Wednesday mornings,
Medals & Match-play competitions,
Seniors outings and tours,
Swap days with other clubs

The Seniors have a proud tradition of raising money for various charities.
