Gerrards Cross is one of the very best clubs for juniors to play golf.
The Junior section is run by a Junior Leadership Group including Head professional Alex Nelson. Alex and his staff provide regular coaching sessions to help develop the right technique and habits.
Competitions run throughout the year, timed to take full advantage of school holidays. Matches are arranged with teams within the club and other golf clubs in the surrounding area.
Full junior membership is for juniors who have achieved a handicap and are able to play the course unaccompanied by an adult and can take part in competitions.
Our scholarship programme is supported by the club to help the most committed and talented juniors to develop into top players. We offer 8 places for scholars. Each receives regular individual lessons from Alex Nelson and agrees to a development programme. Scholars enjoy free membership and all their coaching is paid for by the Club. In return they are expected to represent the Club in matches and help out with junior coaching sessions. This programme has proven to be very successful.

Junior Academy
New to the game? The Junior Academy is the best place for boys & girls of all ages. It’s all about fun and learning in a safe and structured environment. Along with monthly roll up coaching sessions on course experience is gained when accompanied by an adult mentor. This helps to learn the basic rules and on course behaviour. When they become more confident and comfortable on the golf course the aim is that they quickly progress to full Junior membership.
